THE ANTINORI WINEMAKING FAMILY IS OPENING A RESTAURANT IN KNIGHTSBRIDGE

The Antinoris have been making wine in Tuscany since 1385 and the biz is now led by 26th-generation sisters

As well as some serious wine pedigree – the fam is responsible for Cervaro della Sala and Tignanello, which is a fave if Meghan Markle – the Antinoris also have a clutch of restaurants across Europe, having opened the first one in Florence in 1957. Now they’re bringing Cantinetta Antinori to London, with a little help from the Monaco-based Giraudi family.

The London restaurant, opening in Knightsbridge this spring, will be spread across three floors, including a bar where you can come for a glass of wine and charcuterie, a first floor dining room featuring pieces from the Antinori family collection, a private dining space, and an outdoor terrace. Cantinetta Antinori will serve an all-day Tuscan menu, featuring dishes like:

  • prosciutto di wagyu
  • cacio e pepe
  • pappa al pomodoro
  • crispy octopus with potato cream
  • farro salad with fried squid
  • fettuna with kale
  • tiramisu, served tableside

Obviously you won’t be short of wine options either, with the restaurant housing an extensive cellar with exclusive vintages from the Antinori family estate also on offer. Cin cin!
