we discovered Kaffeine, an independent cafe located on Great Titchfield Street just moments from the mentalness of Oxford Circus. Inside the shop features a counter of homemade goodies, some tall tables and a section of stools – most people grab and go but we managed to bag a table for breakfast.

The menu is simple but features enough options to keep everyone happy. Dishes are seasonal but the coffee is consistently great. Homemade granola with fruit compote was served in a glass, more chewy than crunchy but for just £2.50 a generous portion. Equally as good was the fresh orange, banana bread and slab of wholemeal toast with a selection of homemade jams.

On the way out we spied the cake selection which looked ace and featured Anzac biscuits and blondies for those homesick ozzy’s. The next time you’re looking for a decent coffee and quick snack in the area check it out – you won’t be disappointed! Oh and they also sell their homemade jams to take home for under four quid…
