Stokey wine bar and shop Yield N16 is heading for Highbury – the new site will be Yield N1 in honour of the new postcode – taking over an old electronics shop on St Paul’s Road. The new spot was supposed to open in February of last year (pushed back for obvious reasons) so it’s been a long time coming for the Yield team.
The Newington Green branch of Yield sells natural, biodynamic and organic vino from small producers and meats, cheese and bread from artisanal producers including Cobble Lane Cured, Neal’s Yard Dairy and E5 Bakehouse, so we’d expect more of the same for N1. And with Superette, the cheese, meat and wine shop from the Bourne’s fishmongers crew opening on Upper Street in March, you won’t have trouble putting together an epic cheese and wine night.
