DRAUGHT DROP BEER DELIVERY SERVICE LAUNCHES IN EAST LONDON

Remember when the milkman used to come round and drop off fresh pints (and sometimes even cream soda)? Wasn’t it nice? Well now imagine that but with beer. Even better isn’t it? Set up by husband and wife team Tom and Mellanie, Draught Drop is a new East London growler subscription club that drops fresh beer from local craft breweries direct to your door.

Each week there’s a different beer from one of Draught Drop’s partner breweries – including 40 FT Brewery, Howling Hops, Signature Brew, Wild Card Brewery, Five Points, Neckstamper and Forest Road – ‘on tap’. The beer gets delivered on electric bikes on Friday nights in resuable growlers. Once you’ve drunk it all, you rinse the growler out and swap it for fresh filled one the following week. And you can pause your subscription if there’s a beer on that you don’t like.

The growlers, which hold 3.3 pints, are £17 per drop so that works out at just a shade over a fiver per pint, with delivery costing £3.99. You can also click and collect for free from Wynwood Art District Café in Walthamstow.

Available in E2, E5, E8, E9, E10, E11, E17 and N16
