After winning the 2018 Westfield Food Entrepreneur Award and mentorship from Tapas Revolution’s Omar Allibhoy, and popping up at Westfield in White City in 2019, Mehak Kansal has now taken Bindas Eatery permanent in Mayfair. And with a load of foliage out front and parrots above the doorway, you can’t miss it.
The restaurant serves Indian street food from Punjab, Mumbai, Delhi, Kerala and Jaipur, with dishes including haddock pakoras, sweet potato bhel puri, watermelon chaat, chicken makhani, chilli paneer with veg hakka noodles, the Anlgo-Indian butter chicken bomb burger, kulfi, and salted caramel gulab jamun. The drinks list is similarly broad, with lassi, Limca and Thums Up sodas, Indian beers and cocktails like mango & chilli mojitos and rose & elderflower gin & tonics.
