After dominating the street food scene, Filthy Buns have taken residency in Dalston’s Three Compasses pub. Curated by chef and founder John Gladwell, the menu includes a selection of beastly meat and meat-free burgers. Our fave has to be the Clucking Great, a fried chicken burger with bourbon BBQ sauce, smoked mayo, sour chillies and crispy onions. Not only are they serving up mega burgers, you can also get chips with smokey gravy and ‘beer cheese’ which is made with locally sourced pale ale from 40FT brewery. We’d definitely recommend going on a Sunday and trying their Roast Sunday Buns, aka a choice of meat or butternut squash and their homemade Sunday slaw stuffed in a bun served with crispy tatties and lashings of gravy. Pair it with a Bloody Mary and that right there is your Sunday hangover cured.
