NEW VENUE MAGAZINE OPENS IN GREENWICH

We’re so used to hearing about venues closing in London that when a new one opens, it’s big news. Magazine, the latest venue from the team behind Printworks and Drumsheds (so you know it’s no joke), is now open in Greenwich, and when we say it’s a new venue, we mean it, as this place was purpose-built. It’s basically a warehouse, just a fresh and shiny one.

The space has a capacity of 7000 in total, with a main room holding around 3000 and a smaller one taking 1500, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering some pretty mega views of the river and Canary Wharf. This second room also offers access to two mezzanines, one with a balcony, which can be used as VIP areas. The entire venue has been kept fairly simple and clean – large spaces with high ceilings and polished concrete floors – making it truly multi-purpose. Elrow has already thrown a party in here but it can hold everything from exhibitions to conferences as well.
