It’s had a sold-out run on Broadway and now James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday In The Park With George starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford is coming to the West End for a limited run next year. Jake Gyllenhaal plays Georges Seurat, who becomes so obsessed with finishing his masterpiece A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte that he scorns his fellow artists and neglects his lover Dot, played by Annaleigh Ashford.
The musical got rave reviews over in the States and even though you’ve got a whole year to wait, the tickets are likely to sell out pretty quickly so you’d better get booking.
