got legs…and it knows how to use them. No seriously, Legs is the new new neighbourhood restaurant on Morning Lane in Hackney. Magnus Reid, formerly of The Rooftop Cafe is in charge of the kitchen and will be knocking out suckling pig and chilli jam roll and Smoked aubergine, couscous with dried fruits for lunch along with smoked haddock, clams with cured egg yolk and steak tartare, smoked pecans with buttermilk for dinner. Besides the food there will be a focus on wine. Yippee!

So you’re all thinking what the hell is the name ‘Legs’ about, we’ll tell you…it’s common wine terminology, legs are what you call the droplets that form on the inside of a wine glass and where you get to tell the alcohol or sugar content depending on how fast or slow they trickle to the bottom (like we knew). There’s a ‘makers’ basement’ which concocts vermouth for the bar, cured meats and pickles for the kitchen

Opening Thurs 19 May 2016
