PIF…what is that? PIF is Paying It Forward and has inspired a social experiment to encourage random acts of kindness from Le Pain Quotidien. Paying It Forward (PIF), is an unrecognised underground movement in London within the restaurant industry yet is celebrated worldwide on 28th April. LPQ plan on putting something good back into the world and will be the first London-based restaurant group to pioneer the use of PIF.
Across their 26 London stores, LPQ welcome random acts of kindness over four days and encourage customers to take part and purchase either a coffee, a tartine, meal for two or a baking class for a stranger in the queue behind them, a colleague at work or someone on the tube looking a little down and help make London a happier. LPQ will be donating £5 to FoodCycle for every baking masterclass purchased via PIF.
