something happening below the city and it’s anything but gritty! Oh yeah, 5cc the cocktail bar has opened in two locations, one on Exmouth Market and one in Shoreditch. We hit up the East London branch located below the new pub Well & Bucket.

The cocktail den is bang on the speakeasy style trend with a hidden doorway, low lighting, booths and a drinks list which nods to cocktails from years gone by. We tried the Right Hand, a twist on a Negroni with rum, campari and vermouth and The Last Word which was the original prohibition drink unearthed at the Pegu Club in New York. Cocktails come in at around £10 but if you’ve serious cash to splash check out the vintage section. Take a date or your bit on the side…
