50m concept store now open

New concept store 50m, created by art collective Something and Son, has opened in Belgravia and it is pretty bloody cool. The store is aiming to shake up the luxury fashion retail market by using a rail rental fee, so emerging designers can be stocked there, and by providing better feedback from customers to designers. 50m also houses a co-working space, including pattern cutting tables and sewing machines, where designers can actually work in there and build a community with their customers. The likes of Ryan Lo, Kepler, Laundry Service and Faustine Steinmetz are all being stocked and they’ve got a range of lifestyle products and magazines for sale too. And if you can’t make it down to bricks-and-mortar shop, you’ll be able to shop all the designers online too.
