managing London spots Quo Vadis, Smiths of Smithfield and Rotorino, and a stint in Cambodia, restauranteur Caspar von Hofmannsthal has returned to London and brought Yumi Izakaya with him. And to celebrate the homecoming, the folks at Yumi are offering 50% OFF food during their soft launch…just quote “sauce 50” when you get there to receive the magic discount.

Inspired by the izakyas of Japan, Yumi dishes up a range of small plates, including daikon wrapped gyozas, rock shrimp tempura, and chilli fried cauliflower; chicken and vegetarian skewers from the robata grill; and larger plates like venison donburi and okonomiyki Osaka style. The drinks list is just as top notch, with a Yumi own brew sitting alongside other Japanese beers and sakes. With relaxed vibes and West End location, Yumi Izakyai is also a great pre- or post-show pit-stop.
