Can’t choose between waffles and crepes or pizza? Now you don’t have to because new Soho spot Japes has all bases covered. Run by couple Aleksandar and Jovana, the restaurant serves three kinds of pizza: NY-style thin crust, Chicago-style deep dish and pizza pot pie, with combos including bolognese sauce, mozzarella and mushrooms, and ricotta, mozzarella, spinach, broccoli and courgette.
On the sweet side you can choose between a waffle or a crepe topped with homemade sauces, ice creams and fruit, like the Monkey Peanuts (with peanut chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream, ground cookies and red berries) and the Stachiola (with pistachio chocolate cream, pistachio ice cream, bananas and grapes), with boozy hardshakes and cocktails also on offer.
