Get 50% Off at Dram Bar in Soho

Dram Bar is a new concept from a trio of former Milroy’s drinks experts

Denmark Street, also known as London’s answer to New York City’s ‘Tin Pan Alley’, used to be London’s musical heart. Home to music publishers, studios, live venues, clubs and guitar shops, it’s even got a plaque signifying its importance to the music industry. But, for a while now it’s been a bit quieter on this little strip. While a few of the shops are still there, there’s only one music venue/bar: The Lower Third (formerly the 12 Bar Club).

Now, it looks like a bit more life is on the way to Denmark Street as Dram Bar has just opened. While it’s not music-related, this whisky-centred spot is a welcome addition. The concept comes from drinks experts Chris Tanner, Simo and Jack Wallis, two of whom were part of the team at Silverleaf and all are formerly of Soho’s other whisky specialists, Milroy’s. They came together to come up with Dram Bar, with the aim of modernising the way people view whisky.

The space is spread out over three floors of a 17th-century Grade II-listed building and features two bars, a whisky shop, an outdoor terrace, and a private pool room with a ready-to-drink cocktail vending machine. Dram Bar is open throughout the day, with food and coffee available in the mornings and afternoon before it transitions into a bar in the evening with cocktails on tap. Whisky fans, get excited.
