5 THINGS NOT TO MISS AT TASTE 2016

probably already seen our post about Taste of London AND if you haven’t have a read because it contains a PROMO CODE. Oh yes and once you have those tickets, it’s time to plan you’re day and get EXCITED because there’s so much going down. To help you with that planning, we’ve jotted down the 5 things we’re most excited for…

1. 5 Star Burger Restaurant

New for 2016 is the 5 star burger stand from Auction Against Hunger. Yes that means you will be eating burgers to raise money for charity – it really would be rude not to. They ALL sound so freaking good but if we HAD to pick one it’d be Jason Atherton’s ultimate lamb burger with confit lamb shoulder, crispy aubergine, spicy ketchup and Fleur de Maquis cheese.

2. Farang’s ‘mi krob’

Chef Sebby Holmes has worked in some of the best thai joints in town and now hosts various pop-ups although they can be a little hard to pin down. Which is why you shouldn’t miss him at Taste or his special ‘mi krob’, that’s crispy noodle salad with brown crab and yellowbean sauce with confit salmon. We reckon this will be seen on ALL the instagram feeds.

3. Typing Room’s Yeasted Cauliflower, Raisins, Capers & Mint

typing-room-LOTI

Still one of our favourites in London, the Typing Room was pimping up cauliflower long before it was trendy. This dish never fails to disappoint and neither does Head Chef Lee. Make sure you put this high on your list.

4. Santo Remedio’s Barbacoa-style Grilled Lamb Cutlets

We love this little restaurant in Shoreditch not only for it’s fresh, deslih food but also the passion the team for everything they do. These lamb cutlets are only sold on Sunday so if you’re there be sure to bag some and if not their guacamole with grasshoppers is a perfect alternative.

5. Jose Pizarro’s Chocolate pot with Gin Mare biscuits, salt & olive oil

Jose Pizarro never fails to disappoint, whether he’s dishing out jamon or knocking up creations should as this chocolate pot made with our favourite tipple Gin Mare. Be sure to save some room for this!
