2018 will see the opening of London’s largest dedicated photography gallery in Whitechapel – spanning 89,000 sq ft to be exact. Following in the footsteps of Fotografiska in Stockholm, Fotografiska London will offer up to seven exhibitions at any one time (all accessible through one ticket). The gallery is expected to show major exhibitions by some of the world’s top photographers, alongside work by new talent, commissioned series documenting current affair and group shows. The space will also include two restaurants, a cafe and bar – and if the Stockholm site is anything to go by we can expect big things as their restaurant was recently named Restaurant of the Year at the Leading Culture Destinations Awards.
