We fell in LOVE with Sans Pere when it opened in Shoreditch earlier this year, so we couldn’t be more excited to hear they’re opening a second site just round the corner from LOTI HQ on Broadway Market. But this one is gonna be a little bit different and comes in the shape of a cocktail and dessert bar, which means a menu of classic and seasonal desserts paired with cocktails. With pastry chef Roberto Mele, who has a background in Michelin-starred restaurants, behind the menu you know it’s gonna be good too. Expect classic desserts such as creme brulee and affogatos, alongside mandarin and olive oil mille-feuille with homemade lemon verbena ice-cream; raspberry, milk chocolate and earl grey entremet; and a vegan mint panna cotta with beetroot foam and chocolate soil. And when it comes to the cocktails, you can expect a selection of French-inspired drinks.
As with the Shoreditch site, this place is gonna be an instagram dream with a Wes Anderson-inspired pink and grey interior and marble-clad bar. Yes, we know what your thinking, this sounds like the most millennial bar in Hackney, but who can resist those cocktails and desserts (and that cheeky pic for insta)?!
