introducing essence cuisine

After a summer of drinking far too much, we’re – nearly – ready to start being a bit healthier so we’re looking forward to checking out Essence Cuisine which opens in Shoreditch on September 4th. Essence has a menu designed by Matthew Kenney, a US chef who’s bought vegan plant-based eating to the masses. Open from breakfast through to lunch and dinner it’s the kind of place you can pop in to grab something quick to go or sit down for a bigger meal.

We especially like the sound of the Heirloom Tomato Lasagna, layers of Courgette and Tomato topped with Sun Dried Tomato Marinara, Pistachio Pesto, and Macadamia Ricotta Cream; and Raw Pad Thai, made from Kelp Noodles with Marinated Kale; Tamari Almonds; and Lime. Essence will also have yummy cakes and their own range of organic, non-hpp, cold pressed juices and nut milks. Oh and if that all sounds a bit too healthy, we hear there’s even plans for a range of cold-pressed cocktails in the future.
