Every year without fail, we go to check out the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery and now it’s time for the next generation to get involved. This summer the NPG are hosting a series of FREE art events for 14-21-year-olds as part of their annual BP Portrait Award: Next Generation. There will be a chance to work alongside BP Portrait Award-winning artists over a three-day intensive workshop, as well as drop-in drawing sessions, life drawing classes and the opportunity to create your own portrait.
To top it all off there will be a Young People’s Private View on the 8th August, when 14-21-year-olds take over the gallery after-hours with drawing, artist talks, competitions, and music.
