SHOREDITCH PLATFORM

What does Shoreditch, the architect behind Ottolenghi and UNLIMITED tea and coffee have in common? Nope, we’re not talking about some strange new concept coffee shop or East London’s first monument erected in the name of hot beverages. It is instead a shout out to a new, flexible co-working space: the Shoreditch Platform. Designed around the idea of communal working – allowing members to network and form relationships, the platform is perfect for those who don’t necessarily work a 9 to 5, with a pay as you go, hourly-rate payment scheme.

Did we mention FREE tea and coffee? In the upstairs member lounge, there is an on-site barista who is there to accommodate your every triple-shot, decaf, extra-milk desire. Downstairs, the dedicated quiet room is for those looking for a quieter work environment. There are over 50 work stations spread out over the two floors, as well as three private phone booths and a meeting room. The spaces were designed by Alex Meitlis, the talented architect behind the Nopi and Ottolenghi restaurants and are filled with lots natural light, quirky design features and most importantly of all…lots of plug sockets! Obviously you can’t be expected to toil all day, so in the evenings, there is a free programme of events, workshops and happenings open to all members.

All work and no play might make Jack a dull boy but at the Shoreditch Platform, he can have both. Lucky ol’ Jack!
