Hailing from Oslo, Norway, Apothek are a duo with a growing reputation for their minimalistic tracks. With one, an accomplished acoustic raconteur, the other an established electronic producer, they’re not exactly your obvious pairing, but following the release of their debut album we can tell you opposites definitely do attract.
Lyrical sparsity is Apothek’s USP and their self-titled debut album of delicate tracks, prove they have a knack for crafting songs that hit that tender spot. Often balancing precariously between the electronic and the acoustic is tricky, but Apothek make light work of it. It makes for an intricate and complex sound and is well worth taking a good listening to.
