Located in an old pub, The Chapel in Islington is a pretty unique salon. Not only because of it’s former life but also the spaciousness of the cutting floor, the fact that the windows are coated so that no one can see in or out and the general calmness that envelopes the salon – even during it’s busiest periods. We booked in for a cut with Kim who came and sat next to us on the sofa for our consultation – it’s all part of the plan to make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
Once we’d nailed exactly what we wanted, we headed over to the chair armed with a drink from the bar and Tunnocks teacake, served as standard. Kim was amazing at cutting our hair and advised us on the shape and changes we needed. She then blow dried our hair “messy” and in all our years of haircuts she’s the ONLY hairdresser ever to get the messy blow dry right, super soft but slight messy waves. After some haircare advice we were good to go, feeling super zen and with a new do. Looks like we will be worshiping at this Chapel regularly.
