dancer Chris Fonseca makes us hear the music in a very different way, and can make us dance through the vibrations. Teaching members of the deaf community to dance by feeling the beat instead of hearing it, Fonseca proves anything is possible. After suffering from meningitis, Chris went deaf in both ears, but after watching street dance movie ‘Breakin’ as a child he became inspired to dance and decided to teach himself. As Chris explains in the video, his creative process is very different from a hearing person’s: “Hearing persons absorb the music quicker. I have to work out the structure of the beats and the rhythm”, Chris says in this Smirnoff ‘We’re Open’ BTS video.

Learn more about Chris’s process in the BTS video and how he joins forces with the passionate choreographers Plague to express his passion in his own way, in the making of Donae’O’s latest video ‘Mami No Like,’ in collaboration with Smirnoff’s ‘We’re Open’ campaign.
