their 60’s-esque outlook and garage rock influence, Black Honey have been one of the most talked about bands of 2016. The tracks which have emerged online through their EP and 2015 singles Corrine, Madonna and Spinning Wheel, they are the soundtrack to a modern day Pulp Fiction. Having been part of Brighton’s ever-evolving music scene for a number of years it’s easy to see why their explosions of chaotic weirdness and hooky melodies are lapped up by TGE goers.

We caught up with enigmatic front woman Izzy Phillips and base player Tommy Taylor for a chat on a very windy Brighton Beach with a pina colada and their plastic flamingo Jerry.
