First came brunch and then bottomless brunch, with a whole load of restaurants jumping on the wagon…to get you off the wagon. But which ones are really that good? Well, we can vouch Hix Mayfair is definitely one that should be on your list. It all begins with an old school drinks trolley which delivers endless Bloody Marys, Bellinis and Champagne to your table.
The menu features Hix’s most ordered breakfast dish, Albemarle smoked salmon ‘Hix cure’ with scrambled Burford Brown eggs. Though we started off with the refreshing Wye Valley asparagus, pennywort and shaved Caerphilly salad, excellently presented with subtle flavours warming us up for what was to come. Starting light means you can go full throttle for mains, and that we did with the rich Wiltshire ham and Montgomery’s Cheddar toastie and Moyallon sugar-pit rib of beef with spring slaw and champonzu.

The HIX Mayfair Bottomless Brunch is available every Saturday from 12noon – 3.00pm at £50 per person for three course brunch with bottomless Bloody Marys and Bellinis and also £55 for three course brunch with bottomless Champagne.
