know what they say, sometimes the old ones are the best, and when you’ve been one of London’s most popular restaurants for the last 15 years, you’re clearly doing something right. The Cinnamon Club is one of those classic restaurants, which having recently had a refurb, just keeps on getting better.

Set in the Old Westminster Library, it’s all white table cloths and formal service but hey, we all need a bit of posh every now and then. To mark its 15th year, chef Vivek Singh has created a six course tasting menu, featuring the most popular dishes past and present and paired with 15-year-old vintage wines. When they say tasting menu, we say go hungry because these are no small dishes. Obviously practise makes perfect because every dish is just that. Our favourite though was the butter-like grilled venison escalope, perfectly spiced with punch chutney, and the tandoori cod with curry leaf and lime crumble. Then there’s the Tandoori chicken chaat in pastry shell…

The menu with paired wines is priced at £150 per person and as wine stocks are limited, when it’s gone, it’s really gone.
