first place ‘sarrf of the river’, The Blues Kitchen opened up in Brixton back in October with their Texan BBQ, including things like 16 hour beef short ribs and a 12 hour smoked brisket, buttermilk fried chicken and pulled pork alongside the LARGEST selection of rare and vintage bourbon in London. All we can say if you’re gonna have the BBQ plate is…GO HUNGRY!

Split over two floors the food is not the only US export; artwork from the Antineau Gallery in New Orleans and stained glass will adorn the walls whilst reclaimed tin and Tiffany lights salvaged from Pennsylvania and New York will illuminate the leather clad booth seating. A tiled bar occupies the ground floor whilst upstairs houses a live stage and club which will host a tight knit family of resident musicians and DJs who play until 2am EVERY Friday & Saturday. WOOP!
