The London Edition opened in September 2013 it caused quite a splash, not only was it the second in the Edition series (a hotel group created by Ian Schrager and Marriot) it also played host to every A-lister in town and housed Jason Atherton’s restaurant Berners Tavern.

The hotel has successfully secured it’s place on the boutique hotel map with 170 rooms including a pretty swishy penthouse. The rooms have a Swedish feel to them with wood panelled walls, parquet floors and faux fur brown throws on the beds. We stayed in one of the Superior Double Rooms which had rain shower, Le Labo products and the latest tech. But, the real reason to love the London Edition is the public spaces; food at the beautiful Berners Tavern never fails to disappoint, Punch Room which serves big bowls of punch in sexy surrounds, lobby with pool table and basement club (well it is Ian Schrager after all).
