Old Street is the second Ceviche in London, located just minutes from Old Street station. Like the original, the restaurant focuses on fresh, flavoursome Peruvian food whilst this site also specialises in barbeque meats cooked anticucho-style on an open grill.

Located in the old Alexander Trust Dining Rooms, it’s much more spacious than the original and has an old school glamour feel to it. There’s 7 different ceviches on offer including one for the veggies. We tried the tuna and seabass; each comes with different flavour combos but both are equally as punchy.

Other stand-out dishes included the tender Bavette steak with fried Burford Brown egg, rocoto salsa, plantain tacacho, cannellini beans and cured pork. The Pollo a la Brasa AKA rotisserie chicken coated in a secret marinade served with chips and chilli dip and DO NOT MISS the Huevo Criollo which is basically a Peruvian twist on a posh scotch egg with Burford Brown egg, quinoa, sangrecita sausage and rocoto sauce.

There’s some interesting cocktails too including the good old Pisco Sour and Duncan’s Punch, and if you can squeeze them in, Pumpkin Donuts for dessert. Looks like eating around Old Street just got good.
