spoilt for choice when it comes to Japanese joints in London these days but Shoryu Ramen knows how to stand out from the crowd. We popped down to the newly opened Carnaby St branch and had a BUN-tastic time! Their newly launched hirata style buns are presented in a bamboo basket and come with a variety of fillings.

We went for the Ginger Salmon Tatsutaage, Barbeque Char Sui Pork Belly and the showstopper Wagyu beef bun, HOLY MOLY.  Then there’s the ramen, the Dracula Tonkotsu is a garlic lovers heaven and Curry Ramen ticks all the boxes- crispy chicken, fresh spicy broth and perfectly cooked eggs.

Sip on Sake cocktails, Hitachino beers and don’t miss the sesame ice cream. A ramen joint with a whole load more than just slurping going down.
