the array of fast food joints on Oxford St leave you a little disinterested, then newly opened Vantra Vitao may well have all the ingredients to lure you in next time you’re in the area.

Both a restaurant and café, it caters for vegan, gluten-free, raw, low-sugar, low GI and macrobiotic diets. Vantra Vitao’s mantra is very simple – all food must be colourful, tasty and highly nutritious.

With a buffet style menu option during the day, as well as an a la carte menu available on Friday and Saturday evenings, which they will eventually be serving all week long. Expect dishes such as chickpea and aubergine moussaka; squash, tomato, pesto and seed cheese lasagna, squash and chickpea spiced curries, mushroom burgers with sundried tomatoes and flax seed nachos with crackers and pineapple.

Drinks wise, the options are endless with their range of superfood juices (the mixed berries, strawberry, lime and passion flower was a firm favourite), smoothies, herbal and oriental teas, to caffeinated and non-caffeinated coffee shots.

And to round things off, its sugar-free raspberry and cacao cheesecake is a must. We were so impressed, that we ordered a second slice. But it’s all sin-free, right?
