eighteen years old…that’s the day you change from boy to man, or in the case of fragrance Lynx Africa it’s when the CAN becomes a MAN. The 18th birthday of the global brand that is Lynx Africa is a celebration they want us all to be part of, after all it is the most popular of their fragrances and has been for over a decade. Designed to keep you cool in the most hottest of situations Lynx Africa has been face to face with lions and gave adolescents the confidence to go out and talk to women! Hurrah!

So, this eighteenth birthday has led Lynx Africa to centre their celebration around 18 pieces of art from an eclectic range of exciting creatives. Included in their list is our recent LDNER Joe Kessler, whose African mask inspired illustration features a rain forest pattern using the three iconic colours of the Lynx Africa brand.

London pop trio Is Tropical, who have kept us dancing this year with their debut album ‘Im Leaving’ have put together ‘Jamestown Sweat’. Inspired from their time spent in Ghana whilst making a documentary, guitarist Simon Milner captured footage of the town’s prize fighter training on the heavy bag. Using locally sourced instruments Simon composed a track to accompany the footage with traditional Ghanaian vocals capturing the spirit and force of the workout.

Our favourite work from the collection has to be Arran Gregory’s ‘Mind Frame’ which embodies the king of the great plains in a powerful, visually striking 3D sculpture of a Lions skull.

Eighteen years on, still going strong!
