new Toni & Guy hair salon in Marylebone sits on the site of James Brown’s old salon which was then sold to Davinia Taylor and has been open as a Toni & Guy for just 6 months. It’s a brave move for a hair salon to take over the site of two failed hair salons (especially when one had its own TV show staring Miss Moss) but if anyone can do it, it’s Toni & Guy. A worldwide, household brand it’s hard to believe it all started from one salon in Clapham back in 1963.

The salon itself sits on Wigmore Street, inside it’s very modern and for a Tuesday morning, when we visited, it was pretty busy. We had our mop taken care of by the salon’s manager who has worked in the company for 13 years so clearly knows his stuff. It was one of the fastest chops we’ve had, we were done in just over 30 minutes, complete with wash, layers and blow dry. Perfect for a lunch hour make over.

We couldn’t fault the service nor our new chop which went down a treat in the local cocktail bar. For an efficient haircut at a salon you can rely on, Toni & Guy has it covered.
