The Carol Joy Hairdressing Salon is located in the uber plush Dorchester Spa within the infamous hotel. It’s small, friendly and very relaxing, you could be a million miles away from London not realising it’s all going on outside…
We went along for a restyle and blow dry but there are also make-up and nail treatments on offer should you want to go for the full works. Our stylist was Sandra who had been at the salon for two years but worked in the industry for many more – she knew her stuff alright! Our hair had grown out of shape so we needed some volume putting back in and the whole mop was in need of a reshape.
Naturally the salon uses Carol Joy products, Sandra recommended the volume and shine shampoo and conditioner, which she used in our wash and head massage. During the cut we were given a run down of the steps and happy that she listened to us when we said we didn’t want it short. The result was a textured, uber light mop with plenty of movement only without loosing a lot of length. WINNER.
If you like to have the relaxing atmosphere of a spa in a hair salon then Carol Joy at the Dorchester is the place for you. Whilst some people might feel intimidated by going to a salon in a 5-star hotel the staff at Carol Joy are really friendly and do their best to make you feel welcome. What’s more we’re now addicted to using the products which leave our hair soft and shiny without any heaviness at all.
