week we brought you news of new Hackney restaurant Mr Buckley’s and a pretty sweet offer of 25% off for our readers too. Well we went along on Saturday to try the brunch and check out the surrounds – oh and to make the most of the 25% off we do read our blog too you know.

The brunch menu is pretty on trend with Oz inspired dishes such as a Skillet breakfast, eggs, potatoes, spinach, feta & tomatoes served in a….you guessed it a skillet, Baked ricotta on sourdough with pancetta, roast tomatoes & rocket and Crab cake benedict.

Located on Hackney Road the simple space has both a dining area and basement bar. We dived straight in for the Skillet Breakfast with added pancetta and a Potato & courgette rosti, bacon, avocado & poached egg. Both dishes were freshly made, well thought out and there is no doubt that Mr Buckley’s is a welcome addition to the Hackney Road brunch scene.

We also peeked at the cocktail list which looked pretty decent – Mr Buckley’s is after all open until 2am. What’s more if brunch is anything to go by you can expect good things at lunch and dinner too.

To score 25% off your meal throughout November make a booking using the link below and quote Londontheinside in the special requirements box.
