Halkin turns 20 this autumn and to celebrate the boutique hotel will launch a special series of events to be held throughout the month of September. As well as a pop-up Culture Lounge, there will be a special Afternoon Tea on offer and three new suites will be unveiled.

The pop-up ‘Culture Lounge’ located in the hotel bar will showcase Paris/New York-based publisher Assouline’s most iconic coffee-table books. Guests and non-residents will be able to browse this bespoke library of new and limited editions and see recent titles brought to life through a series of literary events with selected authors.

The Afternoon Tea menu featuring creations by Pierre Hermé Paris, pronounced the ‘Picasso of Pastry’ by Vogue will run through to the end of October.

The new 20th anniversary suites – two COMO Suites and one Belgravia Suite have been given a face lift and now include balconies overlooking the hotel gardens.

But that’s not all, the hotel has also created 20th anniversary packages to suit all kinds of travellers including ones for families, foodies and shoppers. The packages include one nights accommodation and special added extras such as chocolate making and private shopping tours.

The Halkin opened in September 1991 as London’s first boutique design hotel. The hotel has 41 rooms and suites and is also home to nahm the famous Thai restaurant. Room rates start from £240 per night for a double room.
