been excited about the Zetter Townhouse opening since we saw those amazing pics (swoon). Last week we hit up the bar to sample the cocktails which are made by Tony Conigliaro the man behind 69 Colebrook Row.

There are 13 cocktails on offer most of which pay homage to old classics but with a modern twist. We sampled the Rhubarb Kir Royal our favourite of the bunch, the Somerset Sour (after all we had just scored Glast tix), the Master of Arms and the Nettle gimlet.

The cocktails are served in some pretty impressive miss-matching glassware and each one is totally different from the next. Priced from £8.50 they are good value given the ingredients and time which goes into making them.

Food-wise the bar offers a selection of snacks and supper bowls to complement the cocktails. We tried the grilled Halloumi Cheese with lemon and chilli, Courgette Fritters with Tuna Mayo, homemade Parmesan biscuits and House dhukka and foccacia. All of which went down a treat but the winning dish was the Broad Beans & Lovage Pesto Risotto and at only £4.50 for a pretty decent sized bowl it is an absolute bargain! The risotto is thick and creamy with a herby depth of flavour that gives a pretty harsh but delightful after taste.

We give The Zetter Townhouse a big thumbs up but be warned the ornaments have eyes!
