in Victoria Park village the Fish House is a combined restaurant and takeaway, with plenty of informal seating for those who want to eat their takeaway without actually taking it away. We visited on a Sunday evening and it was heaving. We sampled the cod and chips but we have to admit this wasn’t our first visit and it certainly wont be our last.

Everything is made to order including the chips and the batter is fresh and crispy, no grease here! It’s also pretty good value with a huge portion of cod and chips costing under £6. For those who want to add a bit of class to their boxed dinners the restaurant also offers wines by the glass.

If you like your fish suppers check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
