Following a sell-out run at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe, the devilishly named ‘Red Bastard’ is taking up new residence at London’s VAULT Festival for 12 nights of theatrical debauchery in his acclaimed show ‘Lie With Me’.
An immersive production likened to a funhouse of twisted reflections, the performance requires full audience participation as it threatens to put you face-to face with the lies you have told both yourself and others about love, sex and relationships. After a two-year hiatus (following rampant rumours of audiences tearing off their clothes, quitting their jobs and even getting divorced under Red Bastard’s hypnotic control), this anticipated return to the stage promises games, booby traps and comedy galore in an attempt to expose the truth all over again.
With a tag-line promising “no one is safe” and frankly a poster design scarier looking than the artwork from ‘IT’, it’s clear this one is only for the most daring of theatre-goers.
