Bringing new meaning to the term ‘locally-sourced’, the team behind the 10 Miles Club (as you may have guessed) craft their menus out of ingredients that are grown, reared and milled within 10 miles of the venue. Given their proximity to the produce, founders Emily Gussin and Sarah Smith have full traceability for everything they use and are able to limit carbon expenditure. As well as this, they can share the story behind the food, so you can learn more about what’s made in your area.
For their next supper club in Dalston, they’ll be serving up the likes of mushroom parfait with local leaves, pickled cucamelons & sourdough focaccia; meatballs with smacked cucumbers, wasabi rocket & crispy chilli oil; and honeyed figs with fig leaf ice cream & feuilletine. It’s £49 for four courses and a welcome fermented noble fir and gin cocktail (or mocktail) on arrival.
