US FRIED CHICKEN CHAIN POPEYES IS COMING TO LONDON

The Colonel had better watch his back because Popeyes is flying in from across the pond. The fried chicken chain, which was founded in New Orleans in 1972, is huge is the States and has 3400 branches around the world, and that number is set to grow as they’re planning to open 350 sites across the UK over the next ten years.

The first location for this rollout will be a spot inside Westfield Stratford, ironically taking over the site of a KFC. It’s gonna have many of the signature dishes in the US, including the chicken sandwich (which went viral in 2019), chicken tenders, hot wings, and biscuits & gravy as well as a brand new vegan burger, the Creole red bean patty, so you plant-based peeps can get in on the action too. We’ve had a sneaky taste already and we can confirm that it’s cluckin’ GREAT so if you’re a fried chicken fan, you’ll want to get down here pronto.

Opens Sat 20th November 2021
Westfield, Montfichet Rd, London E20 1EJ
