THE OLD VIC TO STREAM PERFORMANCES FOR FREE

The National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe have already launched a streaming service and now The Old Vic is following suit. The theatre will begin streaming productions that have been staged since Matthew Warchus became artistic director in 2015, for free on their YouTube channel.

It’s kicking off in June with the Olivier Award-winning 2018 production A Monster Calls, directed by Sally Cookson. The show, an adaptation of the Patrick Ness novel, tells the story of 13-year-old Conor, who’s mother is dying of cancer and who is visited by a monster every night. The stream will go live on 5th June at 7pm and be available to watch for six days.
