The longer lockdown goes on, the more adventurous restaurants are getting with delivery options. And now we have one of the swankiest ones yet, with the launch of The Dorchester At Home, which gives you that 5 star feeling right in your own home. The service is kicking off next week with a special afternoon tea delivery to coincide with the launch of the virtual Chelsea Flower Show on 18th May.
The Dorchester at Home CFS Afternoon tea will be available for the week of the virtual show (18th – 23rd) and includes a selection of finger sandwiches (the baby cucumber with cream cheese & chives is delish!); scones with a chunky homemade strawberry jam and cream; plus a selection of cakes and Chelsea buns. Then there’s the selection of teas and the half bottle of fizz which all comes packaged in a beautiful wicker basket.
The hamper costs £120 and 100% of the proceeds of the special hamper will be going to the Royal Horticultural Society charity. But that’s not all – from early June, The Dorchester will be expanding its home delivery options to include dishes from chef Tom Booton, including THAT beef wellington and their standard arvo tea too. Stay tuned for more details soon. Orders must be done 24 hours in advance and delivery is up to 4.5 miles or you can collect.
