Not Another Salon is exactly that, not another salon. It sits on Brick Lane with a pretty colourful outside – you’d be forgiven for thinking it was actually an art gallery and with an inside to match it is definitely not your usual hairdressers. The salon specialises in colour and can create any colour you want thanks to INNOluxe, a “magic serum” they use after colouring – yellow? grey? blue? a rainbow? It’s all possible.
Sophie, the owner, sports her own bright yellow hair and on a recent visit she worked her magic on our locks. We went from dark brunette to sun kissed with noticeable sections turned super blonde – quite the transition for us, given we never actually colour our hair! Once our strands had transitioned we were given a chop which included new bangs. AND whilst dying you’re hair takes a long time there’s absolutely no chance of getting bored here with board games, crazy 80’s books and a Game Boy complete with Super Mario to keep you entertained. What’s more we may or may not have been hungover, which meant we skipped the amazing tea menu and went straight for the Berocca.
