New Bar You Call The Shots Is Coming to Hackney

And you can get a taster of it before the bar officially opens

Emma Piggott and Jonathan Mercer, the team behind the Prince Arthur in London Fields and the Plough in Homerton, are opening a third east London venue this September, but it won’t be another pub. You Call The Shots will be opening on the old Silver Lining spot on Hackney’s Morning Lane and will be hosting residencies from guest chefs as well as pouring beers, cocktails and ‘epic’ wines.

The bar isn’t opening until September but you can get a lil taste of what to expect over at the Plough, which is running a preview series over the summer. Spasia Dinkovski of Mystic Burek has already been in and Joe Couldridge, who’s currently cooking at the Prince Arthur, is taking over the kitchen on 14th & 15th June for the first games of Euro 2024, serving up devilled crab doughnuts, cheeseburger hotdogs, prawn fritti and Pedro Ximenez poutine fries. The line-up for the rest of the summer includes a pierogi weekender from Paris Rosina on 21st & 22nd June, Pasta Slut on 18th July, Marie Mitchell on 25th July and Ginn Khao in August. And that won’t be all so watch this space for even more names…
