Having recently hosted Professor Green and Gizzie Erskine’s pizza pop-up Giz and Greens, Passo is back in the game with a brand new menu from head chef Joe Howley that’s full of Italian treats, including plenty of hand-made pasta and pizzas.
Picking what to eat was a tricky as the whole menu sounds pretty banging, but we kicked things off with a burrata and artichoke salad, the grilled sweetcorn, which was generously covered in chilli, garlic butter & pecorino, and a mozzarella & garlic butter pizzetta, because there is no such thing as too much garlic butter…unless you’re on a Hinge date and given the current government fuckery that won’t be happening anytime soon. Then it was onto pasta with the squid ink linguini with clams, chilli & parsley and the truffle macaroni, which was super creamy and packed with plenty of truffle, washed down with a round of mezcalitas and a carafe of red.
We did also manage to fit in a Happy Endings Negroni ice cream sandwich and left very content in a carb coma, although we did have to undo our belt for the journey home. As well as the a la carte menu Passo also has a lunch deal which will get you a starter, pasta, salad and espresso all for £20 – ideal for those business meetings.
