When the team behind some of London’s best Indian restaurants – Gymkhana, Trishna, and Hoppers – launched their Motu delivery service last year, we were excited. Then we found out it was only available in Battersea and Canary Wharf and our hopes were dashed.

But now they’ve expanded and have new delivery hubs in Islington and Swiss Cottage, so north Londoners can get in on the action too. We opted for a Monday night delivery on Blue Monday, because what better way to cheer yourself up than with a curry?

The thing that really sets Motu apart from all other Indian deliveries is the quality of the meat they use. You know those tough lumps of rubber chicken you’re used to? Forget all that. Here we have soft chunks of beautiful real chicken and you can tell the difference immediately – the spicy chicken curry is an absolute winner. We also had saag paneer, prawn masala, keema naan, rice and a selection of starters including lamb seekh kebab and tandoori chicken wings. Needless to say we were STUFFED but very happy indeed.
