loti eats: london shell co. <br>floating restaurant

London Shell Co. has turned The Prince Regent canal boat into a floating restaurant where you can dive into a static lunch or cruise the Regent’s Canal for dinner. Docked in Paddington, the restaurant focuses on seafood, obvs, with dishes like Morecambe Bay oysters (with those rather naughty angel hair fries), smoked cod’s roe and burnt leeks on toast, and blood cake, queen scallops and pea puree, all perfectly presented and fresher than the Fresh Prince himself. The super soft salmon fillet, Anya potatoes and tenderstem broccoli was our personal fave though. In keeping with their commitment to using seasonal produce, the London Shell Co. also plans to celebrate the game season, so expect to see some meatier additions to the menu come August.

Booze has been given just as much care and attention as the food, with a strong London-focused cocktail list and an emphasis on English sparkling wines. You’ve got two different wine paring options too, at £35 or £55. The dinner cruise takes you from Paddington all the way along to Camden where you can view the passers-by before heading back again to dock alongside Sheldon Square right near Little Venice.
