introducing bailey nelson

Picture this. You’re at an exhibition and you’re having to get up close to the wall and place one hand over your eye to read the writing on the wall. You get to the next picture and there’s an OAP on his hands and knees with a magnifying glass and face almost touching the wall. You see yourself in 30 years and you think, “shit it’s about time to sort it out”. That was the point when we realised we needed glasses, so having heard good things about Bailey Nelson we bit the bullet and made an appointment.

Bailey Nelson is an Australian brand with a London store located in Covent Garden. The glasses are designed by the in-house team, made by hand using the best materials sourced from across the globe, and in their words “won’t gouge your eyes or wallet”. They start at just £105 and don’t charge more for polarised, anti-glare or anti-scratch lenses. But the best news? They have a wicked selection of frames that are pretty fash and yes, we might just have chosen the most hipster pair in there (we’ve had a few comments) but they actually do look amazing (if we say so ourselves), plus we had an eye test and glasses ready for collection in less than a week. Now that’s service…
